Woofstock takes place at The Barnacle
The Barnacle held Woofstock on Sunday, celebrating all things doggy. This is Scoobie, who was adopted at a previous doggy event at The Barnacle.
I've been writing a lot about dogs lately, not sure why, but I did the photo spread on the dog park at Blanche Park and last weekend was the Doggy Fest next to City Hall. Recently Channel 10 did a story regarding Kennedy Park's doggy park. Seems neighbors are upset with its condition. More AstroTurf may be the answer. Blah. The Grove is turning into boxed white houses and AstroTurf. But I digress . . .
Woofstock had a dog/owner look-alike contest, K-9 officers, adoptions, an animal blessing, hot food, and live music are all part of the fun. I had one of their delicious burgers right off the grill.
It was a nice way to spend Sunday, right before the dog days of summer.

Grape maybe you should adopt a puppy? :-)
There are numerous events taking place in the Grove daily, weekly and monthly that offer entertainment for just about everyone and their pets. And we get mostly sunny days with a breeze off the Atlantic Ocean, fresh air year round, Biscayne Bay, parks, parks and more parks, free exercise equipment, great food @ great restaurants, bars, boat ramps, beautiful women, a police presence, boating and a few fish & lobster just off shore.
