Aimee Perez featured at art opening on Saturday
The Coconut Grove Arts Festival’s Gallery @ CGAF will open the summer arts season with a unique solo exhibition by Miami artist Aimee Perez on Saturday, May 7 at 7 pm.
On view until June 24, "Mapping the Heart" will feature nearly 30 works by Perez, including her highly regarded “Figurehead” and “Origin” clay sculpture series that explore contemporary, religious and biblical themes through the gestures of human emotions. In addition, the exhibition will also serve as a backdrop for a presentation of awards to local arts students that same evening.
This piece is called "The Timekeeper."
