Shrimp boats on the waterfront

I think everyone is happy that the shrimp boats are part of the Waterfront Master Plan. They add such character to the waterfront. They are located behind the Chart House in the new plan.

Chamber prez Lilliana Dones said it best, "They make it real and not Disney."

"Making it real" should also include keeping a Public Boat Ramp as well. What good is a waterfront accessible to the people if there is no place to launch a boat?

How many of the public are serviced by a public boat ramp that only has parking for a little over 30 trucks and trailers?

You are absolutely right!

That's 30 to 50 families or groups of local citizens per day enjoying our beautiful local waters.

Why ruin a good thing for the community?
