A lot of special events this Saturday for FAM Night

FAM Night is back in the Grove on Saturday, November 5. Each first Saturday the Grove shows off it's Fashion, Art & Music with galleries open, boutiques showing their new items with open houses and galleries premiering exhibits for the month.

The Sonesta Hotel is a part of FAM Night and their lobby turns into a beautiful art gallery.

This month, Lucy de La Vega's work is featured. Stop by for the champagne reception and enjoy Lucy's work. This piece above is called, "Walk in the Woods."

Lucy has been expressing herself through photography ever since she can remember. She considers the camera as an extension of what she sees in teh world around her, and finding that image, that may never be there again, as a definite thrill. Her work is diverse and at times deeply personal.

Her photos can be abstract and conceptual, to Lucy, it's all about capturing, structuring and shooting that image that most of us don't see.

Stop by the Sonesta on Saturday, from 7 to 10 pm and enjoy  the work and refreshments.

The Sonesta is located at 2889 McFarlane Road.

Galleries have opening (and closing exhibits). There are musicians throughout the village and it's a fun family night.

The Watercolor Society is back at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery for the 44th annual Fall Exhibition. This is the best of the members of the society presented at the gallery. Stop by, meet the artists, have some refreshments. The gallery is at the Mayfair Atrium.

The Force is at KROMA, it's the closing reception of their Jedi vs. Sith Spoken Word performance art with open mic. Stop by from 8 to 9 for this. KROMA is at 3670 Grand Avenue.

The Mano reception is at FrameWorks from 6 to 9 pm, they call it the Williams McCall Gallery now, at 3196 Commodore Plaza.

Don't forget the 30th anniversary party at the Grove Gallery on Bird Avenue. Stop by from 7 to 10, it will be catered by the Grove’s own Lasso the Moon, renowned for their great food, drinks, dancing and unique experiences. As long time supporters to arts in Miami, Grove Gallery & Interiors will be donating $3 per attendee to the Arts for Learning charity. But get this - the event is free and open to the public.
