Counting Stiltsville

There's a great article on Stiltsville on the "Off the Beaten Track" blog, I came across it today, it was first published in June. It explains the history and a lot more.

There are only seven of the houses left out of the total of 27, according to the article, I always thought there were 32 at one time. Guess not.

I can see them clearly out my window and I often count them to be sure all seven are still there.

Thanks for the article, Tom. That was very interesting to read, as were the comments.

Now I need to figure out what the Ragged Keys are.

Shows you times are changing. If you wrote this thing about Stilsville 20 years ago you would probably have had 20 comments by now. Some houses are gone, many people have died or moved but that place has a hell of history. It is unique and a tresure.

We don't care about the Grove's history.

We want our plastic mall, more huge towers to block the sky, and Don Shula burgers.

Anon 8:56am maybe if you weren't such a Nancy Negative you'd do something about whatever upsets you instead of crying on a blog comments about it.

Thank you for reading my article on Stiltsville and posting a link here, I just saw it, so happy you found it entertaining! I am always open to comments and corrections, you know, I am going to research the 27 versus 32 houses again...you might be right, because it probably depends on what we count as 'houses' - some of the structures were little more than shacks. I am getting onto that again :)
Thank you!
Best,
Tamara
