Park area not friendly to boat owners
They botched, they should have built a fountain.
Personally I did not choose to live here. It just happened because my boat was towed here after being rescued, after being shawled on Key Biscayne. But that's another story. I think the "no parking" for people is very cruel and unlike the Grove. Miami is losing the spirit of the people who made it free. Goodbye Coconut Grove, hallo (block house concrete city, sweat);

I'm confused. I walked through the parking at the marina today and half of the spaces were empty. A decal is needed, but can't people at anchor get a decal?
Regarding the parking- once again the root of all evil is of course Sarnoff who cut the size of the new park in half to give dinner key / grove harbor parking for the new restaurants, bars and banquet hall. Make no mistake about it ... Sarnoff is doing everything possible to make sure his buddies are well taken care of before he leaves office. Just one more Sarnoff scam among many. He's selling public land like he is running his own dollar store. His buddies are making lots of money at the expense of the citizens Which of course is being funneled back to him as "campaign" funds to his puppet wife. Too much money coming in to let go easily....
"Park area not friendly to boat owners"
How about the actual park visitors? Try resting the ole derriere on those abominable concrete "park benches". Even birds and dogs are scared of them and run away.
You see, where Sarnoff grew up, they love cheap, horrific Concrete Benches in parks.
If you have a boat at Dinner Key Marina or the moorings on the east side of Dinner Key Marina you get a Dinner Key Marina sticker for parking in a designated area.
Correct anon 9:09. Ron Nelson & Dinner Key just reported no spaces have been lost. The parking spaces remain the same. Some spaces will be removed, as you exit city hall, to the left, but will be made up by spaces added to the garage. Parking spaces are fixed by federal, state and municipal rules & law to the number of vessels moored. The parking spaces allowed assume that not every boat owner in the moorings will be at their boat every day, 365 days per year. Are you anti-Mark zealots actually implying that Mark has the power to modify federal titles, Florida law and municipal codes? If you are, Donald Trump, I have a vice-president for you. Come on guys, blast away! Jobie Steppe
I think that the author is saying that he keeps his boat at anchor, not on the official mooring field.
If he's anchoring his boat for free, and not paying for a mooring, then he really shouldn't complain about not having a place to park his car.
I agree that , some people just can complain about nothing. Plenty of spaces to park. You are a moron or need a space next to your boat.. Are you happy with the new washing and drying Machines or the free Wi Fi that the general public cannot use. You are a grump and please move your boat to a place to be around people who are as negative as you are. Bottom line it sounds like you are missssserable.
