Contestants needed for Hot Dog Eating Competition

CocoWalk will be holding the 7th Annual Hot Dog Eating Competition, a crowd favorite which will be taking place in the CocoWalk courtyard at 6:00 pm, on July 4th, sponsored by Cinepolis Theaters. This scene is from the first year, in July 2009.

Participants will be allotted 10 minutes to eat as many hot dogs as able. One 16 oz cup of water permitted during competition. Hot Dogs must be fully ingested to count in this competition. Should there be a tie after the 10 minute competition, the competition will go into 5 Dog Overtime! This means there will be 5 hot dogs placed in front of each overtime competitor and the first competitor to finish all 5 hot dogs will be named champion. Judges will be present during competition to keep count of hot dogs eaten. Choice of judges is at the sole discretion of the event. Winners announced & receive prizes (1st place & runner up) immediately following competition. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the competition. If a contestant has not checked in at 5minutes until the start, they will forfeit their seat and be replaced

We need to bring the Coconut Hunt back. Maybe next year. Remember when little Oscar won the first year of the hunt? We used to have Friday night coconut painting parties at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery, to prepare for the big event each year.
