It's time for Sprung! beer fest & Grillin' in the Grove
At the Grillin' event, American style to international barbecue will be featured from Memphis, Texas or Kansas City barbecue or the well known Brazilian Churrasco and Argentine Parrillada, Grillin’ in the Grove will have it all.
Bring a lawn chair and umbrella to enjoy the barbecue prepared by a variety of local restaurants, while listening to live music. The price of food will vary depending on the vendor.
There will be two contests - the Best Backyard Burger, aimed at all the home-grillers out there, and The Greatest Grill contest geared towards restaurants, that will battle it out for the festival’s first place bragging rights. Festival goers can also check out one of six cooking workshops hosted by the festival, where expert chefs will cover a BBQ specialty. Not only will they be available for a Q&A session after the workshop, but lucky members of the audience will get to taste their wonderful creations.
Sprung!, the free-spirited, sister festival of Grovetoberfest, will kick Spring into action with their craft beer festival with an unlimited beer tasting featuring over 150 Spring and Summer ales in the heart of Coconut Grove.
“Sprung! is a true celebration of the craft beer lifestyle. Last year, over 4,700 people were proud to say They Got Sprung! Much like Grovetoberfest, our staple event, this festival has become synonymous with the season. This pleases me to no end, because all I wanted to do was get South Florida involved in the craft beer revolution,” said Tony Albelo, event director.
Sprung! on Saturday is from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Grillin' in the Grove will be held from 11 am to 7 pm.
