It's gonna be a big FAM Night Saturday night

It's FAM Night again in Coconut Grove, from 7 to 10 pm, come out and enjoy FAM - Fashion + Art + Music, all over the center of the village.

“Celebrate Spring Sale" is going on at The Sale Rack on Main Highway, to stock up on some cool shades, scarves, and flower head bands. Market, one of the newest boutiques in the Grove, invites all to sip wine and shop the latest fashion, The Loft Salon + Boutique will offer a 20% discount to all participants, Design Bar will host their last FAM bazaar at their current location on Commodore Plaza before moving their shop to Fuller Street and renamed the Golden Bar, which will feature both the Goldie clothing concept and the Design Bar home décor concept in one location. The Market and Loft are also on Commodore Plaza.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival gallery (at the Mayfair Atrium) returns to present Jake Johnson: Painting Heroes 2015 exhibit. Johnson’s work emphasizes historical glory in art and his paintings of heroes are becoming a leading part of a revival in contemporary art of today. Clyde Butcher Coconut Grove Gallery on McFarlane Road, will take part in its first art walk to showcase Clyde’s latest photographs while art enthusiasts are invited to enjoy complimentary wine. Vinos in the Grove will host professional photographer, Ernesto Ortiz, whose work has been seen in National Geographic and will be offering a free wine tasting, they are right around the corner from Clyde on Main Highway.

The Drum Circle will be doing their thing right outside The Barnacle on Main Highway, take a seat and join in or grab a hula hoop and dance around.

The Bookstore in the Grove at the Mayfair Atrium, will host an interactive and customized art experience from Bottle and Bottega to participants who would like to mingle and paint as they create their own 8-inch x 8-inch masterpiece on canvas. The Boswell Mourot Fine Art Gallery on Commodore Plaza, is set to showcase Barnacle Visions at 3162 Commodore Plaza. Artists will display works inspired by The Barnacle, Biscayne Bay, and the unique character of Coconut Grove. Lastly, Academy of Arts & Minds High School, next door to Boswell on Commodore, will paint live for visitors to experience as they stroll through the Grove.  


Live music will fill the sidewalks as visitors stroll around. At CocoWalk, Zack Jones, a one-man indie band, will be making his way South from Fort Pierce to perform a soulful set of acoustics. On Commodore Plaza, Jess Nolan, the local famed singer songwriter from Frost School of Music, will be stationed between Frameworks and The Loft Salon and Boutique for added entertainment. Taber Onthank, of The Wynwood Walls, will perform for those dining outside GreenStreet Café. Back by popular demand, the Barnacle Historic State Park will host the drum circle for the whole community to take part in.

Once FAM Night concludes at 10:00 pm, the Bookstore in the Grove will host an after party for late night bites, drinks and live music. This monthly event connects fashion, art and music to stay true to the neighborhood’s historic artistic community.
