St. Stephen's Christmas tree money stolen
Last night someone broke in and stole $900 from the church, which was the money from Christmas tree sales. St. Stephen's had a great day of sales on Sunday, and the $900 was from just Sunday alone.
A few people were still left at the end of the day at the tree lot and they put the money in a closet in the church and locked it up about 8:30 pm. On Monday morning, the church administrator noticed an open door to the church and other things out of place, when she entered she saw broken glass all over and then saw the window that had been broken in.
They filed a police report and CSI is going to do their job.
All the proceeds from the tree sales are split between St. Stephen's Church and School.
There are about 55 trees left for anyone who would like to go by and help them out and also if anyone would care to make a donation to maybe help make up for the stolen money, you can reach the church at 305-448-2601 or email parish@sseds.org.
