"The Amazing Catfish" at Cosford Cinema

Claudia (Ximena Ayala), a product demonstrator in her twenties, meets ailing matriarch Martha (Lisa Owen) in a hospital room after Claudia is admitted for appendicitis. Martha, who lives alone with her four children, gains Claudia's trust. When she gets out of the hospital, she spontaneously invites Claudia to her home.

Getting to know this family makes Claudia feel at ease. And for the first time she experiences a sense of belonging in this peculiar little tribe. As Martha's health weakens every day the bond Claudia has with each member of the family grows stronger.

The film begins at 6 pm at the Cosford Cinema, is located at 5030 Brunson Drive at the Memorial Building at UM.

The film plays Friday, June 27 at 8:30 pm
Saturday, June 28 at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm

Sunday, June 29 at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm

Tickets are $9 for adult general admission; seniors, UM employees, alumni and non-UM students pay $7. You can get them here.
