The festival event is Wednesday, June 25 at Paragon Grove 13 at CocoWalk, happy hour is at 7:30 pm, screening starts at 8 pm.
"Hecho a Mano," directed by Brett O'Bourke, weaves together the life stories of four Cuban artists now living in Miami; pianist Francisco "Paquito" Hechavarria, sculptor Tony Lopez and mosaic artists Nelson and Ronald Curras. From their beginnings in Cuba, to their early experiences in exile, to their every day lives, the film explores their dedication to craft and their ability to keep creating under often challenging circumstances.
"El silencio de Veronica," directec by Marin Castenada, is about a single mother who struggles to make her daughter happy on her birthday.
"Twintapes Reverse," directed by Otto Rivera is the story of a teenage girl, who is agonizing over an unexpected event in her life.
"Aegis," directed by Cristian Proa, is about two beings looking for each other which ends in a love story.
"Noche Buena," directed by Bryan Lorenzo is about a Cuban family from Miami that prepares to celebrate Christmas while dealing with their teenage daughter's new American boyfriend.
