FestiDan is today at Peacock Park

festidan
The FestiDan team is excited about bringing the tailgating theme to Peacock Park for the first time, today from 3 to 10 pm. Every year we all have to wait until football season starts to get together with friends and enjoy great barbecued food and drinks. This year, and hopefully for many years to come, the tradition can start earlier than usual right here in the Grove.

After
last year's event, the team received lots of positive feedback. Everyone wanted to share their tailgate ideas and all of them requested an early set up time before the event, in order to have as much time as possible to get their tailgating area ready. Just remember, at FestiDan, you are encouraged to bring everything you would bring to any tailgate, except they will take care of the music and beer.

This year, Spill the Wine will be the newest band, which includes the father of one of the members of the Festidan family. Spill the Wine is a Miami based rock group that blends rock with Latin, funk and R&B flavor. And back from last year are the Keyrats and Day Music Died.

For $25.00 you get entrance to the event which includes the music, slip and slides and free beer. As always, Dan Travieso (the Dan, in FestiDan) has felt that celebrating his birthday should benefit others and all proceeds from the event will benefit the
ALS Recovery Fund, an organization that is very dear to the FestiDan team. The whole thing started as a birthday bash for Dan's birthday and has grown into a large charity event.

You can buy tickets on line
here, or at the gate.
