The playhouse is still sitting there so blah and ugly

This is what my friend Sandy Fernandez-Masciatti, branch manger of Regions Bank, faces every day from her office window. The ugly, blah Coconut Grove Playhouse.


While the bank is surrounded inside by coloreful, beautiful art by local artist Marcie Ziv, the view outside is lacking. We've said this before and think it would be something intereseting if the artists in town could dress up the playhouse to be presentable to people who enter the Grove from the South.


Something similiar to the post office mural, but with paint, could maybe make the old girl (the playhouse, not Sandy), look presentable for the time being. Also, for some reason, I feel as if the playhouse is haunted. If you look at the top picture, I feel that someone or something is in the top upper right area, see those two windows? There. I don't feel it in the rest of the building, but in the upper two windows, I feel movement of some kind.
