Dancing with love for Margo

margo5
The fundraiser for Margo was an amazing success Sunday at The Coconut Grove Ballet. It turned into a standing room only event, in fact so many people attended they needed to accommodate with seating outside on the curb. The curbside seating was actually quite nice. There was a nice breeze and everyone was enjoying the show. Here are our future ballerinas getting ready for their performance. behind them proudly smiling is their teacher Miss Carla.

In a conversation with her mother she told us that the only thing that keeps her going is HOPE! She added "If it were twenty years ago, I think my daughter might have been paralyzed forever. But because of all the advancement in science I believe she will be able to walk again." (Notice the standing room only crowd outside the studio).

As some of you already know Margo was injured in an accident on December 3. She suffered a fracture and dislocation of her spine. She has at least 18 months of rehabilitation ahead of her. Margo had no health insurance and the financial burden will be massive. Her mother had set up a Paypal account that you can use for donations. All you have to do is enter her email - isabelleroses@gmail.com.

This performance was to Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" ... the performance was amazing and the song made it even more powerful.

The different age groups and classes at the ballet studio had a chance to perform.

Isabelle Dahlson, left, Margo's Mother along side Laura Hernandez, who was volunteering and she is also the mother of one of the performers.

Carla Noriega, performing her solo performance.

Margo even got to enjoy the show through modern technology ... she watched from her computer at the hospital with her twin sister by her side.
