Adding some color to the drab end of town
The third, and final information booth is being redone starting this week. Today, among the gloomy, foggy skies, the crew was out brightening up the corner of McDonald and Grand, outside the post office, which is also a blah, bland place these days.
Artist Eileen Seitz will be out during the week and probably next week, painting the flowers on the booth to make it similar to the other two (one in front of CocoWalk and one on Main Highway, across from Lulu).
This is a nice colorful way to enter the Village West. In the future, there is talk of one of the painted fiberglass peacocks entering the Village West and calling that home for awhile. We think that bringing art to that end of town is a great thing.
