Woman's Club presents A Night of Art

Lisa Remeny and Lynn Fecteau, two nationally-acclaimed artists and Grove residents, will have their art featured Tuesday, December 7 at the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove, for a one-night fundraiser. Art in all price ranges will be featured, which makes it a perfect place for holiday shopping. Above is "Hummingbirds" by Lynn and at left, "Harvest Moon" by Lisa.

Original paintings, giclees, posters and note cards will be on display, many of them tropical motifs. Lisa is known for her tropical work. "I choose to reproduce beautiful things. There is far too much angst in the world for me to paint darkness. I prefer to go to the light, to look for the beauty and the positive. That is what inspires me," says Lisa. She wishes for her work to help create an aura of peace, happiness and well being.

Lynn says, "I enjoy designing landscapes and seascapes with still lives in the foreground. In this way I create a story through my painting."

Refreshments will be provided by Bill Hansen Catering, the event is from 5 to 8 pm, the Woman's Club is at 2985 S. Bayshore Drive. For more info, please call 305-442-8808.
