Concierges came for a visit
Just a handful of concierges showed up last night for our Grove Concierge event, but the ones who showed up were all delightful and full of energy. You can see they fit their roles as concierges, they all have the personality for it.
Apparently the Coral Gables Country Club had some shindig last night too, and many felt that was the place to be, but the ones that showed up in the Grove had a first class evening. Above from left are Vicky Reyes from The Four Seasons on Brickell, Miguel Pena, president of the Southern Florida Concierge Association and Joaquin Pastora from the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables.
Flanking Vicky are from left, Dave Collins of the Grove BID, Steve Licata, Ron Jakubisin and Gailen David.
No, these aren't models, this is the staff who served the food and drinks: Dayanis, Yashai and Erin. They did an incredible job.
Maria Miller of the Hyatt Regency Miami and Deanne Graham of Welcome magazine enjoyed the mixer.
Lonnie Moore and Marshall Crane, from Burgundy Room; Louis Del Borrello, Ron Nelson.
The food and drink was provided by The Burgundy Room, since they are still under construction, the event was held in the former Cielo Barcelona space, then it moved to The Barnacle.
The visitors enjoyed themselves and told me they enjoy the Grove, that is why they came. I told them about Snow Days this weekend and other events and they were excited to tell their hotel guests about our many Grove events. They all left with goodie bags and hopefully good feelings about our little village.
