Remembering Nic Sorrentino

nic
Nic Sorrentino, a well-known Grovite, passed away unexpectedly at age 56 last October. He was a wonderful individual, known and loved by many Grove people, young and old. He was a UM grad who never returned to NY after college, member of PIKE Fraternity and long long time Grove resident and business owner, from back in the '70s.

This weekend is Homecoming at UM and many of Nic's old buddies and PIKE friends are coming to town. Many are staying at The Mutiny. Today, November 5 at 3 pm, they are having the annual Nic Sorrentino Homecoming Softball Game at Peacock Park.

Tee Sorrentino, Nic's wife, invites everyone to bring their glove and come down to toast him and relive some of the old Grove Memories. Many of you may know Tee who used to have an art gallery at CocoWalk and a small place on Commodore Plaza.
