Big night of art, music and culture

We are excited about the grand opening of Artway66 tonight. If you're around for the Gallery Walk, stop by. There's a lot of action at Artway66 -- lots of people, music, performance art and lots of food and drink. Johnny knows how to throw a party.

It's at the Mayfair Promenade across from The Improv. Look for the NY-style art gallery with all the people. That's it. You'll have to stroll through the actual Art Stroll on the Mayfair Promenade to get there. It will be a full night of art and culture. Lots of fun.

The "Diversities" exhibition is being premiered tonight, the Coconut Grove Ballet will perform and the Calvary Chapel group and there is lots of live music from the likes of Different Faces, Serena Stroppa, David Gilarbert and more.

Artway66 focuses on visual arts capturing different styles from around the world, and then they add live music and artistic performances to the mix. It's a living experience.

The Coconut Grove Drum Circle will be at Florentine Plaza (3444 Main Highway), stop by for that and all the galleries around town are presenting new art as part of the Gallery Walk tonight.

Special at Max in the Grove (2996 McFarlane Road) is the workd of world-renowned artist Steve Kaufman who has just passed away at age 49 of a heart attack. Steve was the assistant to Andy Warhol.

Also, Frameworks (3196 Commodore Plaza) will be featuring the photography of Michael Stern, a specialist in wildlife and Everglades. Stop in for some wine and art and of course, the list of all the usual galleries is here:
