BID Board agrees to some going green measures
The BID Board met last week at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery. They agreed to go forward with the renovation of the Playhouse Parking Lot, so pretty soon, that end of town will have a decent place for parking.
10 new electric bikes will be available for rental soon, too. They may be located near the BID office, near the bull, and Louis and the other Grove Ambassadors will be responsible for the rentals to tourists or whomever would like to use the bikes. The hope of the BID is that tourists will use them and take them all over the Grove, including down to the waterfront, so they can get the whole Grove experience.
Also, the Big Bellies recycle bins were approved. We showed a couple here, when they had them out for a day last month so the board members could see how they looked on the streets.
