Is anyone missing the irony, that with like 7 french restaurants in the grove, this is being held at an italian joint?

Love it. There's something innately grovey about that.

What I find fascinating is that with so many French restaurants in the Grove, the yearly Beaujolais Nouveau festivities are being celebrated on Monday instead of the traditional 3rd Thursday of November. It was once upon a time done on Thursday’s and it was a huge success. I checked with George and he confirmed that it’s going on Monday. BTW, the Gables and Brickell have places kicking it off on Thursday. Is it an issue of permits or politics? Don’t know, but I love to finally know why I have to go somewhere to celebrate this day instead of hanging in the Grove. Maybe George will dress up like Napoleon again… WV
