Greening up CocoWalk while illegally parking
This van has been parked in the middle of the sidewalk all day. I guess it's the thing to do now. Since Code Enforcment does it (here and here). It seems that if you don't want a ticket from the Parking Authority, all you have to do is park on the sidewalk, they ignore this while they stalk honest parkers.
This van actually is part of the plant project at CocoWalk, nice new plants are filling up empty spaces. Still, the plants were dropped off early this morning, is it necessary to block the sidewalk all day?

I see Jay Walkers OMG!!!!
Love the plants, move the truck.
Plants look great - can we get them on all the sidewalks now?
Is it a deliberate exclusion, to have Cocowalk's Virginia Street side ommitted, look at those pitty planters by the parking garage and the Victoria Secret entrance.
This is a far cry from Code Enforcement parking in the middle of the sidewalk to go shopping or get lunch. These guys appear to be working right there while it's there, and probably need things from the van to complete their work.
Couple of hours of this van on the sidewalk resulted in noticeable improvement. Everyday of C.E. parked whereever they want - have yet to see any positive effect.
I'm fine with them parking there while they are using the supplies from their truck to better cocowalk. It's WAY better than them parking in the right lane closest to the sidewalk (the only lane that goes straight, as opposed to curving onto Main hwy). When the taxis park there and I need to go straight I just about explode from frustration. This park job? Not such a big deal.
