Become famous! Share your party with us

We have a new feature here at the Grapevine -- Party coverage.

You may know them as party pages in various publications from Joan Nielsen's original Social Magazine and of course the knock-off Social Miami and Miami Monthly also features parties and events.

For a nominal fee, you can share your wedding, your corporate event or birthday, even a day out boating with friends. Become famous! You would be amazed at how many people read the Grapevine.

Another great plus is that when people do searches for you on line, your name will come up and so will all your guests! It's a great way to social network and have some clout. People will come up to you and say, "I saw you in the Grapevine!"

Your party will be featured right here and be seen by thousands of people a day. Your write-up could look something like this, which was done for the Chamber luncheon. Or you can just have one photo if you like, with a write-up under that.

We would love to work with party and wedding planners on this. So feel free to contact us to discuss logistics.

More info about doing this is
here.

YOU MAY NOT LIFT THE PHOTOS & TEXT. IT'S COPYRIGHTED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. YOU CAN HOWEVER SHARE A STORY ON SOCIAL MEDIA BY USING THE LINKS HERE.
For linking to this one story, just click on the time it was posted & just this story will open for sharing - only through social media. Not copying and pasting.

Oh, my. Some of us thought this was a blog that covered (very well) local politics and local business. Sissy going to the prom is not what I come here for.

Unfortunately, you have never purchased an ad to support the blog and 99.9% of you have not. So it is go this route or close it down.

In the meantime we will miss you, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Given that the first e-mail was complimentary to you, I think that response was a little harsh.

I do not have anything to advertise. If I did, I probably would. Or if you charged a subscription, I would join. I like the reporting.

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude, but I have been getting rude comments on this all day and just have been deleting them.

I would like to start making a living at this, I work 24/7 at this, I need compensation. This will bring the money in and it will only have Grove events: A wedding at Grove Isle, a fishing tournament at Montys, a graduation at Ransom, etc. It will still be Grove news, only more neighborly, hopefully only once or twice a week and it will pay some bills around here.

All the other publications in town do it, I need to do it now to survive. I turned down lots of business today to be at Grove meetings, I can't keep doing it -- it is now my business or the Grapevine. I would like it to be the Grapevine.

Be fair. I don't think anyone realizes how much work and searching and scouting a blog like this takes....for all the complainers in town who never attend a meeting but like to gripe about everything, you get out there and try to get the scoops like Grape does.

As someone who runs a blog myself, I can understand the time and effort that is required to produce such an undertaking. People will always gripe about change, do what you need to do to keep going. This is the only Grove Centric media that reports in the manor that you do, especially since there is no more Coconut Grover or Conconut Grove Times. We look forward to publishing and promoting future events with you.
