Chamber Luncheon held at Angelo and Maxie's yesterday
If the Mayfair Hotel came tumbling town yesterday, all the Grove's movers and shakers would have been lost in the rubble and the Grove would have to manage without them. Hmm, doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
Everyone who is anyone was at the Chamber installation luncheon at Angelo and Maxie's all afternoon, feting the new officers and saying goodbye to the old.
Above are new officers: Willy Vega, treasurer; Manny Alonso Poch, secretary; Liliana Dones, past president; Tony Noboa, new president; Mia Stierheim, executive vice president and Monty Trainer, officer at large. Missing is Gary Ciuca, vice president.
Above are Richard Issa, from the BID; Camille DePhillips, of Prince Media Development; Felice Dubin from The Bookstore and Village Council member; and Commissioner Marc Sarnoff who was the featured speaker. At right are outgoing president Liliana Dones, member of the Village Council with new Chamber president Tony Noboa of the Coconut Grove Bank.
Here are Jackie Gara of the Ritz-Carlton; Angelique Swann, DoubleTree Hotel; Curtis Crider, Sonesta Hotel; Barbara Wendel, DoubleTree Hotel and Frank Couzo from the Sonesta Hotel.
Seated above are Zaida Hously, marketing consultant; Nancy Boggio, President of the Coconut Grove Womans Club and Doreen LoCicero; behind them are Angelique Swann from the DoubleTree Hotel with Robert Parente, director of the Miami Film Office and Manny Poch, of the Art and Minds School.

Wonder if Joe and Michelle shared a chocolate caeser salad
As the newly installed President of the Chamber I would like to make a comment regarding Angelo and Maxie's food and service. Overall, they did an incredible job for us at the Chamber Installation Luncheon. The food and service were exceptional- we had an attendance of 60 plus. This is a hidden gem especially for lunch-please try them out. Thanks to the management and staff at A and M for their hard work on Friday and putting our menu together.
