Great little restaurant ! Hope Sarnoff or somebody can resolve their parking spots issue with the City so they won,t be forced to close because of an idiotic code requiring them to have or pay for ' TEN '.....that,s TEN parking spots......where the hell is a little business like that going to come up with that many spots ?

Basil does not need 10 spots. They don't need to pay for any spots. They have parking in the area.

Their problems were with other issues. Nothing to do with parking spots. They don't need to rent parking spots.

Additionally, Cristina & I have eaten at this location more than all other places in the Grove combined, firstly because Cristina and the previous owners were Brazilian, however, the new owners held on to several meals, cooking & prep as the previous owners. The new owners enjoy pleasing everyone and all servers are very polite and make you feel appreciated.

They do appear to have an erratic schedule, but the food is very good and the service is always friendly. I think it would be worth it to learn their hours of operation and frequent this restaurant while they are open. It's a very laid back tropical friendly atmosphere, absolutely not fake, you can relax and enjoy, the environment is something special----you will come away with a smile and good food inside your belly.
