Help Grove Elementary and possibly win a Locman watch

H & H Jewels has come through again for a great Grove cause. They are donating this beautiful Locman Timepiece (valued at $1395.00) to help Coconut Grove Elementary serve local children in a unique “Summer Learning Camp.”

Each $5 ticket increases your chances of winning this exclusive watch which features a mother of pearl dial with date, diamond bezel and is attached to a red lizard strap with tang buckle.

All of the money raised will go to Coconut Grove Elementary to ensure this wonderful summer educational program survives the current budget crisis.

Tickets can be purchased at H&H Jewels (11 am-7 pm) (3434 Main Highway), Commissioner Marc Sarnoff’s Office at Miami City Hall (9 am-5 pm), and the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce (10 am-6 pm) (2820 McFarlane Road).

For more information or to see the watch on display please call Maria Reilly at H&H Jewels at (305) 442-9760.

Didn't Sarnoff and/or the commission push those tourist booths to the tune of about $800,000.00, and for what? Now there's no money for the kids! But, isn't this the ugly truth and we can't tell the truth if it's ugly, right?

Tourist booths have nothing to do with school budgets. The school's summer program is covered by Miami-Dade county public schools' budget. That budget is being slashed by their superintendent. Sarnoff is just trying to help a school in his district continue a great program. If it wasn't for Sarnoff, H&H, and others like them, these students would not get the help they need.
