Moving ahead with temporary movie theater locations
One problem here is that Muvico is having problems. Bankruptcy problems. So who knows now if anything is going to happen.
But anyway, Richard brought up the subject of even bringing back The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was a weekly Grove staple for years.
He is currently looking for spaces to show first run and old movies. Javib has offered Temple, the club at 2895 McFarlane Road, also the Arts and Minds Center on Commodore Plaza offered space, Cindy from CocoWalk offered space at some empty club spaces they have at CocoWalk and the old Sephora store is also being considered as a location. That's across from The Bookstore on Grand Avenue, next to the 24 Hour Fitness Gym.
If anyone else has a space, with high enough ceilings, please let Felice at the Bookstore know and she will contact Richard about it.

Remember the Arts & Minds Center has a 180 seat theater. They have regular screenings there all the time form the Dutch Film Society, and also the Chamber has shown movies there (both outside on the terrace and inside, when it gets to hot to be outside.
I'd love to see a cinema in the Grove devoted to quality over quantity. Perhaps a community theater similar to the Paradiso in Ft. Lauderdale.
