Why do meetings overlap? What is the point of this?
Not many people at today's Merchants Meeting, unfortunately, the BID saw fit to have a meeting at the same exact time. This is part of what is wrong with the Grove. Everybody does their own thing with no regard to others. Many folks at the BID meeting would normally have been at the Merchants Meeting. Poor planning.
Hope the BID will be more considerate in the future, knowing that the Merchants Meet the first Thursday each month.
It actually became a great Merchants Meeting since most people there were my friends, so we had a good old time and we actually finished on time this month, which allowed the Police Liaison meeting to start on time for once.

Sorry to sound like a conspiracy theorist.
But it is what is wrong with most of our government.
BIC probably moved it to the same date for the very reason they would not have that many people going to either one. Less complaints, less ideas etc.
Then with whatever descion they make they just say we had a public meeting and no one said anything.
City does it ALL the time. cough*stadium*cough
Its also just as likely that they dont care.
Which is also bad.
must've interfered with Dave "karl rove" collins other plans, so it had to be held today.

Could it be this was the only time the Commissioner could meet????
