Come to the Merchants Meeting, voice your concerns
The Coconut Grove Merchants Group is having their next meeting this Thursday and there is a lot on the agenda. It really seems to cover everything.
The main items on the agenda are:
Reports by block captains, restaurant sub-committee formation, enhancement issues from the 27th Avenue Entrance to one at Bird and US1. Report on gaslight restoration and Info booths.
Events include reports on the Antique Market, "Sail the Grove," 4th of July, music on the streets, Bed Race, Grove-wide happy hour, Banyan Festival, artists on the streets and finding a sponsor for first run movies for when the AMC closes down for renovations.
As for marketing, update on the turnpike brochure will be discussed, a new walking map is being discussed and Pow Wow Miami, on May 18th is to be discussed. This is the time for merchants to voice their concerns about everything.
The meeting is Feb. 5 at 9:30 am at the NET office (the glass house at Peacock Park).
