Vote for a local artist in the "Nature of Compassion" contest
After receiving more than 500 original entries throughout the country, J. Jill announced the top 10 finalists in its third annual “Nature of Compassion” t-shirt design contest. The annual competition helps poor and homeless women become self-sufficient. From now until January 19, 2009, the public can view the 10 designs and vote for their favorite here. The “Nature of Compassion” contest was established in 2006 as a way to showcase original works of art, to pay homage to nature’s ever changing beauty and to help women in need through its Compassion Fund.
What makes this Grove-related is that our own AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt is one of the finalists. That's her image, which is in the running.
The grand prize winner will receive a $2,000 J. Jill shopping spree, as well as an artistic getaway for herself and a friend to Artista Creative Safaris for Women in Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA. Each of the nine finalists will receive a $500 shopping spree at J. Jill.
