They just soaked in the whole Village
I saw them early in the morning and then finally about 6 pm, I saw them get into a car and leave. But all that time they were here, they really took in the Grove experience.
They seemed to do everything and really enjoyed themselves. They ate on Commodore Plaza, shopped at our stores, they looked at art (I saw them in galleries), they enjoyed CocoWalk and the musicans on the streets and they bought sunglasses from Paul's kiosk. Paul asked where they were from. Brooklyn, they said. I wasn't stalking them, I just saw them everywhere I happened to be.
I envied the way they just absorbed the whole village. Usually when I am traveling it isn't so thorough. I seem to run around from here to there and never really stop to enjoy one whole area of town all in a day. But that is what they did.
Perhaps they visited South Beach or Ft. Lauderdale or the Keys the next day. But for the one whole day, they really took the Grove in and didn't miss a thing. I think they really did it right and could teach us all a thing or two about living in the moment.
