Open up the flood gates
Anyway "pathetic merchants meeting" is that person's words not mine, but I may have to agree. I really felt the meeting didn't accomplish anything.
We wish them well in their move, and regret seeing them go, we were just getting to know them and liked them a lot.

"Not sure what that will do, because it's the City that is the problem, not the Grove itself."
Very, very true. He's probably thinking of adajacent Cities than govern themselves way better than the City of Miami ever could, he may be moving to Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, or Beach or further up North. Who can blame him? Business is Business. We have Sarnoff and the City of Miami to thank.
I think that the finger pointing contest is getting halfway to its apex about now. Over the years, the grove has evolved into what it is because all factors from all sides cumulated into what we have got now. When was business for ALL the merchants in overall "GREAT" (not GOOD) shape? Many brave merchants have been hanging on by their fingernails for some time..My wish is for a Coconut Grove in 2009 that is not just improving, but THRIVING!!!!!!
THRIVING, Amen. And I must also add: FREE as in freedom from the monster of City of Miami that is slowly choking the Grove death. And if they smell independence they will squeeze tighter.
you were growing on me too grapevine... hey, im still a grove resident so dont think you got rid of me yet!
see you in the wynwood art district one of these days? sure hope so.
