En Plein Air off to an early start
Local artist Dan Bondroff shows off his canvas stamp this morning. He is one of the many artists entering the En Plein Air art contest today. Photographers and artists have been streaming in. The event is three days, so artists who have not come in today, can also show up tomorrow.
I caught Dan a little while later on one of the Grove street corners, doing his thing. This is what we need a lot more of -- artists creating around the Grove. It adds a lot of life and ambiance to the village. This weekend you'll see many because of En Plein Air.
If you're coming into the Grove, there is plenty of parking available in the garages. It's a busy weekend with the regatta boaters in and out all day, too. Come out, see artists at work. Enjoy the sunny day. There's a lot going on, there are many new restaurants open and the streets (and bay) are full!
