"En Plein Air" art event hosted by Windisch-Hunt Gallery
Basically these events are held in places like Vizcaya or the Deering Estate or Fairchild Gardens, but the Grove will work, too. Artists start with a blank canvas or sheet of watercolor paper and to make it fair, it has to be documented as blank at the beginning of the event. After the first day, the "half finished" paintings are locked up and then returned to the artists the next morning to complete their artwork. The artists compete for prize money.
Awards will be given for first, second and third place and there will be honorable mention.
All entries will be exhibited in the gallery until October 30. Right now this is for oil, watercolor and acrylic, but a photography component is being worked on.
