It's hard to believe it's the middle of summer
Between Chili's and the new Starbucks, CocoWalk is really a happening place these days.
They are both crowded most of the time, which is bringing business to the whole area. Can't wait for Crazy Pianos to open in the fall.

I went to Chilis for dinner (had to work in the office all day) and was pretty disappointed. I know they're still figuring things out, but the whole experience was awkward. They didn't know where to seat us even though there was hardly anyone there. Then wait staff just kept walking by and staring at us like we were suppose to let them know who we should give our drink order to.
Finally we placed our order and got oversalted, overcooked food. I know it's Chilis and the bar cant be set too high, but I really hope they work out the bugs.
Oh wow. A Starbuck and a Chili's and it's a "happening" place? That's a very very very low bar, even by Miami standards. By that measure, the little mall just past Dadeland on US1, where the French Bistro is, is 1000% more happening.
Get a grip.
It's a happening place in the respect that it was dead before Chili's opened and same with Starbucks. Now there are people all over the place.
I had the same problem as 10:49 recently. Only I was at the Chili's across from Dadeland. And they've been open there more than a year. I think the chain has gone downhill. They better be careful or they'll end up like Bennigans.
