Old Grovites show up for Joe Donato
I stopped by Pommes & Pané Café for breakfast today. Olav was telling me he went to see Joe Donato play at Pisco's last night and he really enjoyed it. Lots of old Grove folks were out -- lots of the Taurus crowd.

The food is fantastic. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Good food, great crowd, drinks a little pricey but they are going to work on that; they offer free parking in Oak St parking garage. These are owners that want to work with the Grove. Do check it out.
And they give Code 33.
Ut's good to have Joe Donato back in the Grove. He has a great following and it is obvious the Grovites are still looking for a place to call home - a place to hang out and know your friends are going to show up - hasn't really happened since the Taurus.
I walked by tonite and saw 2 groups of 4 sitting outside, no one inside, and one dude sitting at the bar. When is there a "great crowd"? I'll probably give it a try next week.
I also walked by Cielo which was totally dead as well. Does anyone go there? I ate there one time and the food was pretty good but it was insanely expensive, especially drinks. I have never seen a crowd there though. Probably wont be long before it is 86'd.
