Pommes & Pané Café is what I was looking for

I just had an incredible breakfast at the Pommes & Pané Café at CocoWalk, on the Virginia Street side, you know, right across from the Mayfair House Hotel entrance, where Blue Man Grove performs on Friday nights.

Yesterday, after bitching about having no place quick to run in and out of for breakfast, a few of you mentioned Pommes & Pané in the comments section and quite a few people stopped me on the street to tell me about it yesterday.

So I popped in this morning and had one of the best, freshest breakfasts in a long time. Olav, below, was very welcoming and was delighted to prepare me a great omelet. The coffee is great, too.

This is what I was talking about -- a one-of-a-kind Grove place, in the Central Business District, that you can enter, order, take-out or eat-in and run. No fuss, no muss -- and delicious and fresh food in the bargain. They are very friendly there and it's honestly what I was looking for in my ranting yesterday.

Ask and ye shall receive. Thank you, Olav. Thank you, readers.

You should try his decaf cappucino - seriously, I don't know what he does to make it so much better than the normal, caffeinated cappucino, but whatever it is, it's awsome!

I don't think they have pancakes. And I just got back and was told they don't have decaf. So I got a regular cappucino, which was great. Better than Starbucks.

the breakfast sandwich = eggs bacon and cheese on a hoagie, or have the bangers and eggs with toast, all made with love.

Foccacia Rustica is a nice lunch spot. I havent tried breakfast there, but the curry chicken and chicken salad are money. Its also easy on the eyes and a great place if you want some peace and quiet. Gives that small town vibe too.

Focaccio reminds me of a little cafe you would find in Aspen. It is quaint and comfortable with great food. Try the chicken cranberry salad.

Great place to chat and surrounded by the morning Grove movement. Rain or shine you have a place to sit. Delicious breakfast sandwich, easy morning parking (no meters till 10 am)and they remember your name. Thanks OLAV at Pommes and Pane, see you soon.
