Man jumps on Metrorail tracks

A man jumped onto the Metrorail tracks at the Grove's Douglas Station this morning. He was pinned under a train but is still alive, in critical condition. He was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center.

Update: Trains are operating on only one track today.

Alex Rodriguez has some ego. That's such an insensitive comment, speaking of idiotic things!

People are in pain and under duress. Suicide rates are up...

May that poor soul find peace in his recovery.

Not to minimize the pain/suffering of the guy under the train, but does anyone know if if there's an ordinance against noise like Channel 7's news chopper hovering that low over our neighborhood, setting off car alarms for over an hour this morning?

I know it's their *duty* to report the news :read- get ratings: but was an aerial-based TV closeup of the carnage even necessary?
