Noisy neighbors
Last night Grove Isle had an event and the music came across the water to our neighborhood and drove us nuts. All night the pounding music blasted and no one cared. I called Grove Isle and I emailed them but they ignored me.
I was tempted to call the police, but I didn't feel right doing that. I guess the whole point of this is that when I said people who moved next to the central business district should expect to be bombarded by music all night, I was wrong. They deserve peace at night. We all do.
Grove Isle. You suck.

There are laws that prevent businesses from doing that to you. If being neighborly gets you nowhere, put your tax dollars to work and get the police involved.
Its only one night though... Not such a big deal if you ask me. It would be different if it was all the time. I say deal with it.
When the clubbers leave clubs at 5am and get out on our streets, littering and throwing beer bottles on our streets, being noisy, revving their motorcycle engines setting off car alarms, breaking into cars and leaving broken green glass behind, it is a serious problem and we don't have enough police to monitor these people. Even if the noise is contained in the clubs, it is the assaults and stabbings that result from drunken clubbers that Coconut Grove does not want or need.
If it was after 11am you should not have hesitated to call the police.
Anon 7:35pm - Calling out hypocrisy is only clever when you indeed catch someone going back on their word
