Hands on Miami
Hands of Miami is back again this year on Saturday, November 3rd.
Hands on Miami puts people in the Miami-Dade Community who have some time (but not a whole lot ... mostly in the evenings or weekends) that they want to share with someone with agencies who need extra helpers.
Hands on Miami buys or receives, paint, tools, cookies, books and other items so that the volunteers can do the work that needs to be done.
If you live and/or work in Miami-Dade County and are interested in volunteering opportunities, go to www.handsonmiami.org and see what's available -- there are all kinds of opportunities -- some are family friendly so that you can introduce the younger members of your family to the joys of volunteering.
If you are not in the Miami area and would like to explore opportunities closer to home try going to the Hands on Network website at http://handsonnetwork.org/ .
Last year, Hands On Miami volunteers worked over 53,000 hours to make our Miami-Dade County community a better place to live and work.
