Greed is out, green is in
Maybe the City should take over The Streets of Mayfair through eminent domain and do something with it. In the right hands it could thrive. And we don't mean handing it over to the greedy developers.
Besides, they all have enough problems now and hopefully will crawl back into the holes they crawled out of. Read this. Overdevelopment is not trendy anymore. Greed is out. Green is in. You can buy the t-shirt here.
Note to those easily offended: The Greed arrow is pointing to all the overdeveloped buildings downtown and on Brickell and other areas north of us. The Grove is trying to keep this out but apparently the rest of the county doesn't mind the glut. (Glut -- gluttony, interesting).

17.99 for a cotton t-shirt with computer printing? Sounds a little greedy to me...
I think my cost is $16.99, I am not trying to make money on them.
And they are not computer printed. Learn about Cafe Press. OK? Before you judge?
elena - i'm sorry you'll be judged as quickly as you chose to...shame really, you're blog gives me the impression you might be more thoughtful than that.
things are expensive here - that's all.

I don't see a reason to spend my tax dollars to (a) bail out a failing private business; and (b) put it in the hands of our dubious political class.
Besides, wasn't the Mayfair subsidized with city/county funds?
If green is in why is Mayor Manny Diaz so desperate to rezone a waterfront site at Mercy Hospital for three more luxury high rise condos? Doesn't Manny read Bloomberg? The Herald? The business section?
