Grove ‘SuperKids’ giving back ahead of Super Bowl

Coconut Grove Elementary students were part of hundreds of students in buses loaded with sports equipment and school supplies pulling up to the St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens last week as part of the Superkids Supersharing event put on by the NFL and Miami’s Super Bowl Host Committee.

The event is organized as a peer-to-peer event that lets kids donate items that are then given directly to other kids in our community.

The Grove Elementary students, along with teachers Evelyn Burns and Sheila Rodriguez, brought the items and then sorted and packed everything with the help of volunteers from the Super Bowl Host Committee for delivery to schools throughout Dade and Broward counties.
