Something fishy is going on at the Promenade

You may have seen guys in and out of one of the former galleries at the Mayfair recently, this is the design team for Spillover at the Mayfair, a new seafood place being opened by this fall by the folks who brought us LoKal, the burger place on Commodore Plaza. I mentioned this last week in an article about change in the Grove.

It will be like LoKal, with everything organic and fresh, but in a seafood format. The Miami New Times, has more details.

You may remember the place as being the Artway 66 Gallery, during the heyday of the Saturday Gallery Walks. Before that is was a fast food chicken place. This is at the Mayfair Promenade, right next to the MCM Music Academy.

Across the way, at the former Improv location, Lasso the Moon, the catering company, is moving in and they have their own seafood concept with The Typsy Mermaid, a pop-up seafood restaurant.

  1. Bombay Darbar is also moving into the former TKs/News Cafe spot. Huge space increase.
