Meet commission candidate Lorry Woods

Lorry Woods, one of the District 2 Commission candidates is holding a Meet & Greet this Saturday, April 18.

Come out to meet Lorry and enjoy a BBQ Tasting and judging contest. Stop by and enjoy ribs, chicken, sno cones and music.

Also someone from LaunchCode will be attending Saturday's event and hopefully engage the community regarding their training and apprentice program - which aims to solve the tech talent gap (and provide better paying jobs).  LaunchCode is a hub for learners, educators, and employers working to close the tech talent gap nationwide. They partner with educators and employers to offer high quality pathways to education and jobs in technology through paid apprenticeships and job placement.

The event is from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Village West Parking Plaza located at 3628-3640 Grand Avenue. The event will be held outside in the parking lot in the back. There is free nearby on street parking.
