Excitement is over for the day

H&H Jewels on Main Highway and Fuller Street was held up. The armed bandits had guns and one held a gun on H. Bredemeier, owner, but they were more intent on getting jewelery and not on hurting anyone, according to an employee on the scene. Five employees were on duty at the time. One female employee sounded the silent alarm as she emptied the jewelry case for the robbers. The police arrived within minutes.

The crooks got away with jewelry, of course, but everyone at the store is fine. The police did an incredible job according to said employee.

The employees are now cleaning up and cataloging merchandise to see what was taken. There is surveillance tape from inside the store, but at this point the armed robbers are still on the run. Fingerprints, etc. are also being taken by the crime lab.

The streets are open again. All is safe with the world, or at least our little part of the world.
