The Grove had a party to celebrate the tree lighting
There was so much for the kids to do and so much for adults. The bars and restaurants were full, people were selling wares on the streets, Rudolph was engaging with the kids.
The BID staff deserves all the credit for creating this wonderful event. They worked hard this past month to get this right and they went overboard. Commissioner Ken Russell and Monty Trainer led the countdown to the actual tree lighting, as they do each year and the crowd cheered when the lights came on.
The trees along Main Highway and Commodore Plaza were magnificent. It was so great to see so many people wandering around the village. Our village looked like a winter wonderland, and oh yes, there were lots of snowflakes on Commodore Plaza, which added to the magic.
The tree is up all holiday season and so are all those twinkling lights. Come by, stroll around, shop, eat and enjoy!
