It's all about the Creative Community at Mad Hatter

The Mad Hatter Arts Festival is back for it's 15th year, taking over The Barnacle, inside and out. On Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, come out to enjoy arts, crafts, antiques, plants and more at The Barnacle State Park and on the sidewalks outside, surrounding the area, on Main Highway. Tents will be set up out back, on the big lawn and tables and such will take up the sidewalks outside the entrance for a block.

Live music is always a highlight of the Mad Hatter Festival, where various performances take place out back, plus there is a participatory drum circle which you'll find along the path as you walk through the forest, and activities for kids of all ages are always a part of the fun. Food will be available for purchase from The Barnacle Society's concession stand and select food vendors or venture into the village for drinks and treats at participating restaurants and eateries.

The Mad Hatter Arts Festival is from 10 am to 5 pm both days. There is a $2 fee to enter the park.

The night before the festival, November 22, enjoy the 1951 version of the Alice in Wonderland movie at The Barnacle. It runs from 8:00 to 10:15 pm. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs for an outdoor movie screening. Gate opens at 7:30 pm. It's free, but The Barnacle will hit you up for a $2 donation.

The Barnacle is at 3485 Main Highway.
