Try the lunch special at Saffron Indian restaurant

We had lunch at Saffron the Indian restaurant yesterday. We hadn't been there in awhile, and forgot how great it is.

We had the lunch special, which is a platter with lots of goodies in it. Two of us had chicken, but there is a vegetarian plate, lamb and seafood, too. The chicken was Butter Chicken. It's sort of like a bento box.

Included was rice, salad, naan, an eggplant dish, soup and dessert. Delicious.

The chicken platter was $14.95 each, Vegetarian is $12.95, Lamb $15.95 and Seafood $17.95.

Their menu is large and they have so many favorites like Chicken Tikka Masala. Laal Maas, Veal Shank, Aloo Gobhi, Dal Makhni and so much more. Favorite main courses are Mango Chicken Curry and Saffron Beef Curry.

Saffron is open daily Tuesday to Thursday from 11:30 am to 10 pm; Friday and Saturday 11:30 am to midnight and Sunday from 11:30 am to 10 pm. They are closed Monday.

Saffron is located at 2982A Grand Avenue - that place with the big elephant out front, near the 24 Hour Fitness gym.
