Sailing Week and Bacardi Cup coming to town
The most anticipated multi-class regatta in Miami will take place from March 4 to March 10. Miami Sailing Week will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary.
Sailing Week was established in 2010 with the goal in mind of creating a fun filled week of activities related to the sport of sailing that we all love very much. Through the years we accomplished many of our goals and the event became a capstone of Miami’s regatta season. Along the way we worked with many different one-design classes, the waterfront community, talented artists and benefited several charitable organizations.
Invited classes for 2019: the A-Cat, Lasers, I420, C420, 29ers, 505, F16 and F18.
The Bacardi Cup Invitational runs from March 3 through the 9th where top-tier one-design boats from around the world will have the pleasure of competing with and against the sport top pros on the thrilling waters of Biscayne Bay.
For nearly one century, this event continues to sizzle with popularity and international intrigue. It’s a trifecta celebration of signature Bacardi rum, thrilling races along the sparkling Biscayne Bay, and a bountiful supply of social post-racing events.Besides the Star and the J70 Class, this year, we will be welcoming back the Melges 24 Class, the Viper Class and the Flying Tiger Class.
